1. About DrLoop Driver
DrLoop Driver supports operational functions related to non-emergency medical transportation.
Depending on the features enabled for your Provider and role, DrLoop Driver may allow authorized users to:
- receive or view assigned Trips;
- review Pickup and Destination information;
- review transportation requirements;
- access limited Rider information;
- use navigation;
- communicate about a Trip;
- update Trip status;
- view schedules or shifts;
- receive operational notifications;
- report delays or issues;
- access safety or support functionality;
- coordinate with the Transportation Provider;
- support Trip completion.
Available functionality may differ by Provider, role, location and product configuration.
2. Non-Emergency Transportation
DrLoop Driver is intended to support non-emergency medical transportation.
It is not a replacement for:
- 911;
- emergency medical services;
- emergency dispatch;
- police;
- fire services;
- emergency ambulance response.
If a Rider experiences a medical emergency or there is immediate danger, follow applicable emergency procedures and contact the appropriate emergency service where required.
Do not wait for:
- DrLoop approval;
- a DrLoop support response;
- a Trip Chat response;
- an App status change
before requesting emergency assistance where immediate assistance is required.
3. DrLoop's Role
DrLoop provides technology supporting transportation coordination.
Transportation services may be performed by third-party Transportation Providers using their own:
- Drivers;
- crew;
- Vehicles;
- equipment;
- operational procedures.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, DrLoop does not employ, supervise or manage Provider personnel merely because they use DrLoop Driver.
Your Provider relationship and your right to perform transportation work may be governed separately by applicable Provider arrangements and law.
4. Your Relationship With the Transportation Provider
A Transportation Provider may be responsible for matters such as:
- recruitment;
- hiring or engagement;
- scheduling;
- supervision;
- compensation;
- payroll;
- taxes;
- benefits;
- workplace policies;
- training;
- credentials;
- discipline;
- Vehicle assignment;
- insurance;
- regulatory compliance;
- employment or contractor obligations.
The exact allocation of these responsibilities depends on the actual relationship, applicable agreements and law.
DrLoop Driver is an operational platform and does not replace the Provider's own responsibilities.
5. Employment or Contractor Status
These Terms do not, by themselves, determine whether you are:
- an employee;
- independent contractor;
- agent;
- volunteer;
- another category of worker
of a Transportation Provider, DrLoop or another organization.
Your legal status depends on the actual circumstances, applicable law and the true nature of the relevant working relationship.
A label used in these Terms, in DrLoop Driver or by another organization does not override applicable employment or labour law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deny a person employment or other statutory rights to which that person is legally entitled.
6. No Employment Relationship Created Solely by App Access
Receiving access to DrLoop Driver does not, by itself, create an employment relationship between you and DrLoop.
Likewise, these Terms do not by themselves determine whether another organization is your employer.
Any employment, contractor or other working relationship must be evaluated based on the actual applicable relationship and law.
7. Provider Authorization
You may use DrLoop Driver only if you are authorized to do so.
Your authorization may depend on:
- your Transportation Provider;
- assigned role;
- account status;
- required credentials;
- Provider approval;
- applicable DrLoop access requirements.
Do not use DrLoop Driver after your authorization has ended.
8. Driver Account
Your DrLoop Driver account is intended for your authorized use.
You must provide or maintain accurate information where required.
Do not:
- share your account improperly;
- allow another Driver to work under your identity;
- perform Trips through another person's account;
- impersonate another person;
- permit unauthorized access to Rider information.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your credentials and device.
9. Account Provisioning
Driver accounts may be created, authorized, provisioned or managed in connection with a Transportation Provider relationship.
Your Provider may have authority to request or manage certain operational aspects of your access.
DrLoop may also restrict access where reasonably necessary for:
- security;
- privacy;
- safety;
- Provider authorization;
- legal compliance;
- suspected misuse.
10. Device Security
A Driver device may contain or display sensitive transportation information.
You must take reasonable steps to protect the device.
This includes:
- using appropriate device security;
- protecting authentication credentials;
- preventing unauthorized viewing;
- installing relevant security updates where reasonably required;
- reporting a lost or compromised device promptly.
Do not leave sensitive Rider information unnecessarily visible to unauthorized people.
11. Assigned Trips
Only access Trip information where you have a legitimate authorized reason.
An assigned Trip may include information such as:
- Rider name;
- Pickup;
- Destination;
- transportation requirements;
- relevant Trip instructions;
- timing;
- Provider information;
- Vehicle assignment;
- other information necessary for transportation.
Access must remain connected to your authorized role.
12. Minimum Necessary Rider Information
DrLoop seeks to limit Rider information displayed to Drivers and crew to information reasonably necessary for the applicable transportation role.
Technical ability to view information does not create permission to use that information for an unrelated purpose.
You must not attempt to obtain additional Patient or Rider information merely because you are curious.
13. Relevant Diagnosis or Condition for Transportation
For certain Trips, you may receive information described as:
Relevant diagnosis or condition for transportation
This means diagnosis or condition information reasonably relevant to:
- transportation requirements;
- assistance;
- safety;
- care requirements during the Trip.
It does not mean the Rider's complete medical history.
Use this information only where reasonably necessary for the authorized transportation purpose.
Do not use it for:
- curiosity;
- gossip;
- unrelated discussion;
- discrimination;
- social media;
- marketing;
- personal purposes;
- unrelated employment purposes.
14. No Medical Diagnosis Through DrLoop Driver
DrLoop Driver does not authorize you to diagnose a Rider.
Do not use the App to:
- make a medical diagnosis;
- represent DrLoop as providing medical advice;
- provide treatment beyond your actual training and authority.
Where you independently hold professional healthcare qualifications, your obligations under those qualifications exist separately from DrLoop Driver.
15. Work Within Your Training and Authorization
Do not perform an activity merely because a Trip mentions particular equipment or transportation needs.
You must remain within your actual:
- qualifications;
- training;
- certification;
- authorization;
- Provider procedures;
- lawful scope.
If a Trip requires assistance beyond your capability or authority, use the appropriate Provider or DrLoop escalation process.
16. Transportation Requirements
Before performing a Trip, review applicable transportation requirements.
These may include:
- Wheelchair;
- Stretcher;
- Oxygen;
- Stair Chair;
- Cardiac Monitor;
- mobility assistance;
- access conditions;
- escort requirements;
- relevant precautions.
Do not knowingly ignore a requirement that may materially affect safe or appropriate transportation.
17. Requirement Mismatch
If the Rider's actual transportation needs materially differ from the booked information, do not simply proceed where doing so would be unsafe or inappropriate.
Where appropriate:
- stop;
- assess the operational issue;
- contact the Provider;
- use the applicable escalation process;
- update DrLoop where required.
Do not falsify Trip information to make an unsuitable Trip appear complete.
18. Vehicle Requirements
You may operate only a Vehicle you are authorized and legally permitted to operate for the applicable transportation.
You must follow applicable requirements involving:
- licence;
- registration;
- inspection;
- insurance;
- Vehicle condition;
- Provider authorization;
- equipment.
DrLoop's display of a Vehicle in the App does not itself certify that the Vehicle satisfies every legal or operational requirement.
19. Vehicle Safety
Do not begin or continue transportation where you know the Vehicle cannot reasonably be operated safely.
Safety concerns may include matters involving:
- Vehicle condition;
- brakes;
- tires;
- securement;
- equipment;
- mechanical condition;
- another serious defect.
Follow applicable Provider inspection and reporting procedures.
20. Equipment
Where the transportation uses specialized equipment, equipment must be handled according to applicable:
- training;
- manufacturer requirements;
- Provider procedures;
- legal requirements.
Do not represent yourself as trained or authorized to use equipment where you are not.
21. Before Starting a Trip
Before beginning an assigned Trip, take reasonable steps required by your role to confirm that you have the necessary information and capability to perform the transportation.
Depending on the Trip, this may include checking:
- Pickup;
- Destination;
- Vehicle;
- transportation requirements;
- relevant Trip notes;
- necessary equipment.
Do not begin a Trip you know cannot reasonably be performed as assigned without using the appropriate escalation process.
22. Accurate Trip Status
DrLoop Driver statuses must reflect what actually occurred.
You must not intentionally falsify:
- On your way;
- Arrived;
- Pickup;
- Going to destination;
- Completed;
- delay;
- waiting;
- cancellation;
- no-show;
- another operational status.
Trip statuses may affect:
- Rider updates;
- Hospital workflows;
- Provider operations;
- ETA;
- billing;
- cancellation;
- safety records.
Accuracy matters.
23. Do Not Start a Status Early
Do not mark:
Arrived
before you have actually arrived according to the applicable operational meaning.
Do not mark:
Pickup
before the Rider has actually been picked up according to applicable procedures.
Do not mark:
Completed
while transportation responsibilities remain materially incomplete.
24. Patient Handoff
An App status does not replace a real-world Patient handoff where a handoff is required.
Software may support coordination, but you must follow applicable:
- Provider procedures;
- Facility requirements;
- transportation procedures;
- professional requirements
for the actual handoff.
25. No-Show
Do not mark a Rider as a no-show unless the applicable no-show requirements are actually satisfied.
Do not use no-show status to:
- avoid an inconvenient Trip;
- generate a fee;
- hide a Driver cancellation;
- conceal a delay;
- manipulate Provider metrics.
Record relevant events accurately.
26. Waiting Time
Where waiting time is tracked, record it accurately.
Do not:
- create false waiting time;
- intentionally extend time to generate a charge;
- manipulate timestamps;
- represent that you were waiting when you were not.
Provider-specific waiting rules may apply.
27. Cancellations
Drivers must not manipulate cancellation information.
Do not:
- falsely state that the Rider cancelled;
- pressure a Rider to cancel simply to change financial responsibility;
- invent a safety reason;
- cancel for a discriminatory reason;
- intentionally manipulate cancellation timing.
Use the authorized Provider and DrLoop processes.
28. Payments
Do not request or collect an unauthorized payment from a Rider.
Unless specifically authorized through the applicable service, do not:
- request cash;
- provide a personal payment address;
- request an e-transfer;
- request payment to a private account;
- add undisclosed fees;
- negotiate an off-platform charge.
Follow the applicable Provider and DrLoop payment process.
29. Off-Platform Solicitation
Do not use information obtained through DrLoop to improperly divert Riders to unrelated or unauthorized private transportation arrangements.
You must not use Rider information to solicit personal business outside the legitimate Provider relationship without appropriate authority.
30. Safe Driving
Safe and lawful driving takes priority over use of DrLoop Driver.
You must comply with applicable traffic and distracted-driving laws.
Do not interact with the App in a manner that makes driving unsafe or unlawful.
If an App action cannot safely and lawfully be completed while driving:
Wait until the Vehicle can be safely stopped.
31. DrLoop Does Not Require Unsafe App Use
DrLoop does not require you to:
- type while driving;
- read non-essential messages while driving;
- update a status at a moment when doing so would be unsafe;
- interact manually with the App contrary to applicable traffic law.
A Trip status or message can wait until it can be handled safely.
32. Navigation
Navigation information is provided as an operational aid.
You remain responsible for:
- observing the road;
- obeying traffic laws;
- responding to actual road conditions;
- road closures;
- safe Vehicle operation.
Do not follow a navigation instruction where doing so would be unsafe or unlawful.
33. Messages
Trip or Provider messaging should remain professional and related to legitimate operational purposes.
Do not use messaging to:
- harass;
- threaten;
- discriminate;
- engage in sexual communication;
- solicit unrelated business;
- discuss Patients unnecessarily;
- send unrelated sensitive information.
Trip Chat is not an emergency service.
34. Rider Communication
Communicate with Riders respectfully and professionally.
Trip-related contact information must not be used later for:
- personal contact;
- romantic pursuit;
- marketing;
- unrelated solicitation;
- harassment.
Contact outside the Trip must have a legitimate authorized purpose.
35. Patient Dignity
Riders must be treated with dignity.
Do not:
- mock a medical condition;
- shame a Rider because of disability;
- unnecessarily discuss diagnosis information;
- expose a Rider unnecessarily;
- use degrading language;
- treat a person as an inconvenience because assistance is required.
36. Discrimination and Harassment
Do not engage in unlawful discrimination or harassment.
Legitimate transportation capability limitations must be based on actual:
- Vehicle capability;
- equipment;
- training;
- safety;
- operational requirements.
Do not use a supposed operational limitation as a pretext for unlawful discrimination.
37. Accessibility
Follow applicable accessibility requirements and Provider procedures concerning Riders with disabilities.
This may include requirements involving:
- mobility aids;
- reasonable accommodation;
- support persons;
- service animals.
Where uncertain about an accommodation, use the appropriate Provider escalation process rather than making an arbitrary refusal.
38. Physical Assistance
Any physical assistance must be:
- reasonably necessary;
- professional;
- respectful;
- within your training;
- within your authorized role.
Unnecessary or inappropriate physical contact is prohibited.
Sexual misconduct is prohibited.
39. Violence and Threats
Do not engage in:
- violence;
- credible threats;
- intimidation;
- deliberate Patient endangerment;
- intentional damage to safety equipment.
Where immediate danger exists, contact appropriate emergency services.
40. Sexual Misconduct
Sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexual misconduct connected with DrLoop transportation are prohibited.
Consent to transportation does not constitute consent to personal or sexual contact.
You must not use Rider information to pursue unwanted sexual or romantic contact after a Trip.
41. Impairment
Do not perform transportation duties while impaired in a manner that makes transportation unsafe or unlawful.
This includes impairment that may materially affect safe Vehicle operation or safe performance of your assigned responsibilities.
Follow applicable Provider policies and legal requirements.
42. Fatigue
Do not knowingly continue operating a Vehicle where fatigue creates an unsafe condition.
Follow applicable:
- hours-of-work rules;
- rest requirements;
- Provider procedures;
- transportation requirements.
A Trip assignment does not override your obligation to operate safely.
43. Licences, Credentials and Qualifications
You are responsible for maintaining credentials required for your authorized role where that responsibility applies to you.
Do not:
- upload a false credential;
- alter a document;
- represent an expired credential as valid;
- misrepresent qualifications.
Your Provider may also be responsible for verifying and maintaining applicable records.
44. Credential Changes
Notify the appropriate Provider or DrLoop process if a material credential relevant to your authorized Driver role:
- expires;
- is suspended;
- is revoked;
- becomes invalid;
- materially changes.
Do not continue performing work requiring a credential that you no longer lawfully hold.
45. Rider Information Is Confidential
Rider information available through DrLoop Driver must be treated as confidential and used only for authorized purposes.
Do not:
- discuss Riders with friends;
- search for Riders online for personal purposes;
- disclose their transportation history;
- copy sensitive Trip information unnecessarily;
- use Rider information after the operational purpose ends.
46. No Snooping
Do not access Patient or Rider information out of curiosity.
Examples include viewing information about:
- a friend;
- neighbour;
- relative;
- celebrity;
- former Patient;
- another Driver's assigned Rider
without a legitimate authorized purpose.
Technical access is not authorization.
DrLoop may maintain access logs and investigate suspected unauthorized access.
47. Screenshots, Photos and Recordings
Do not screenshot, photograph, record or copy sensitive Rider information for personal or unrelated purposes.
Where incident documentation is legitimately required, use the authorized process and limit collection to what is reasonably necessary.
Do not publish Patient or Trip information on social media.
48. Privacy Incidents
Promptly report suspected privacy or security incidents through the applicable process.
Examples may include:
- lost device;
- compromised account;
- Rider information sent to the wrong person;
- unauthorized screenshot;
- unauthorized Patient access;
- exposed Trip information.
Do not conceal a known privacy incident.
49. Location Information
DrLoop Driver may process location information to support legitimate operational functions.
Depending on the implemented functionality, these may include:
- dispatch;
- Trip assignment;
- navigation;
- ETA;
- Vehicle progress;
- Pickup coordination;
- active Trip tracking;
- safety;
- operational support.
Additional information is provided in the DrLoop Driver Location & App Permissions notice and DrLoop Driver Privacy Notice.
50. Background Location
Where background location is necessary for an enabled Driver function, DrLoop may request the applicable device permission.
Background location must not be interpreted as permission for unlimited unrelated surveillance.
The actual collection and use of location must remain connected to disclosed legitimate purposes.
You will receive additional information through applicable privacy disclosures and device permission prompts.
51. Location Accuracy
Do not intentionally falsify location information.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- GPS spoofing;
- deliberate location manipulation;
- using unauthorized tools to make a Vehicle appear somewhere it is not;
- falsifying arrival using manipulated location.
Location information may naturally be imperfect because of GPS, network or device limitations.
An ordinary technical inaccuracy is not misconduct.
52. No Unnecessary Off-Duty Use
DrLoop intends Driver location practices to be limited to legitimate operational purposes rather than unnecessary continuous off-duty tracking.
The exact circumstances in which location is collected should be described in the applicable Driver privacy and permission notices and must reflect the actual implemented system.
Drivers should use Provider or DrLoop privacy channels if actual location behaviour appears inconsistent with those disclosures.
53. Provider Visibility
Your Provider may receive operational information relating to your authorized work through DrLoop.
Depending on enabled features, this may include information such as:
- assigned Trips;
- Trip status;
- timestamps;
- Vehicle;
- operational location;
- shift or availability information;
- relevant Driver activity.
Provider access does not create unrestricted authority to use DrLoop information for unrelated purposes.
54. Electronic Monitoring
Where DrLoop or a Provider uses DrLoop information for monitoring-related purposes, applicable disclosures, policies and legal requirements must be followed.
DrLoop technology should not be treated as authorization for hidden or unlimited surveillance.
The DrLoop Driver Privacy Notice provides additional information regarding DrLoop's handling of Driver personal information.
55. Accuracy of Operational Records
You are responsible for making reasonable efforts to keep information you enter into DrLoop Driver accurate.
Do not intentionally falsify:
- Trip information;
- Driver status;
- Vehicle assignment;
- time;
- mileage where applicable;
- location;
- incident information;
- shift information;
- other operational records.
56. Emergencies
If a Rider develops a medical emergency or there is immediate danger:
Contact appropriate emergency services where required.
Follow your:
- training;
- authorized role;
- Provider emergency procedures;
- applicable legal obligations.
Do not wait for DrLoop approval before requesting emergency assistance where immediate assistance is required.
57. DrLoop Is Not Clinical Supervision
DrLoop Driver does not provide clinical supervision.
A Trip record, instruction or App message does not authorize treatment beyond your actual qualifications.
Where you are separately regulated or professionally qualified, your independent professional obligations continue to apply.
58. Vehicle Breakdown
If the Vehicle becomes unsafe or unable to continue:
- prioritize immediate safety;
- follow applicable Provider procedures;
- update the appropriate operational parties when safe;
- do not falsely mark the Trip completed.
Where emergency assistance is needed, request it directly.
DrLoop or the Provider may attempt to arrange alternative transportation where available.
Replacement transportation is not guaranteed.
59. Collision
If you are involved in a collision while performing a Trip, follow applicable:
- emergency requirements;
- traffic laws;
- collision-reporting requirements;
- Provider procedures;
- insurance procedures.
Immediate safety takes priority over updating DrLoop Driver.
A DrLoop incident report does not replace any report legally required to another authority.
60. Incident Reporting
Where required, provide accurate information about a safety or operational incident.
Do not:
- fabricate an incident;
- intentionally omit a material fact to conceal misconduct;
- alter evidence improperly;
- use incident reporting to retaliate against another person.
Provide only information reasonably relevant to the legitimate incident process.
61. Good-Faith Safety Reporting
You may report a good-faith safety, privacy or operational concern.
A good-faith report does not violate these Terms merely because the issue cannot later be fully substantiated.
Knowingly submitting a materially false report may constitute misuse.
62. No Retaliation
Do not retaliate against another participant because they:
- reported a safety concern;
- reported discrimination;
- raised a privacy concern;
- requested an accommodation;
- disputed a Trip record;
- cooperated with a legitimate investigation.
63. Fraud
Do not engage in or facilitate fraud involving DrLoop.
Examples may include:
- fake Trips;
- Driver impersonation;
- false credentials;
- falsified Trip completion;
- false no-show;
- false waiting time;
- location spoofing;
- unauthorized charges;
- manipulation of Trip records;
- fabricated claims.
DrLoop may investigate suspected misuse.
64. Platform Security
You must not:
- attempt unauthorized access;
- bypass security controls;
- scrape protected data;
- extract Rider information without authorization;
- introduce malicious software;
- interfere with DrLoop systems;
- reverse engineer protected functionality except where law expressly permits it;
- abuse APIs or automated functionality.
Security concerns should be reported through an appropriate DrLoop process.
65. Provider Policies
Your Provider may maintain additional policies concerning matters such as:
- safety;
- driving;
- Vehicle inspection;
- Patient handling;
- privacy;
- credentials;
- scheduling;
- incidents;
- communications.
You are responsible for following Provider requirements applicable to your role.
If a Provider instruction conflicts with immediate safety or applicable law, applicable legal and safety obligations take priority.
66. DrLoop Does Not Replace Provider Supervision
The availability of:
- Trip statuses;
- messages;
- automated alerts;
- navigation;
- location information
does not mean DrLoop is continuously supervising your work.
Providers remain responsible for supervision and operational management within their applicable responsibilities.
67. Automated Features
DrLoop may use automated technology to support functions such as:
- ETA;
- routing;
- Trip matching;
- alerts;
- operational workflows;
- fraud or security detection.
Automated information may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Do not disregard obvious safety or factual information merely because an automated feature indicates otherwise.
Where a material automated decision affecting access is subject to a review mechanism, use the applicable process.
68. App Availability
DrLoop does not guarantee that DrLoop Driver will always be:
- uninterrupted;
- error-free;
- available on every device;
- available in every location.
Network conditions, GPS, device issues, maintenance or outages may affect functionality.
If the App becomes unavailable during transportation, follow applicable Provider procedures and prioritize safe completion or safe interruption of the Trip.
69. Offline Operation
Where limited offline functionality is available, information may synchronize later.
Do not intentionally exploit an offline condition to:
- falsify Trip events;
- hide activity;
- manipulate records;
- bypass security.
70. App Updates
DrLoop may update DrLoop Driver for purposes such as:
- security;
- reliability;
- compatibility;
- legal requirements;
- functionality;
- bug fixes.
Certain updates may be required for continued access.
71. Compensation and Earnings
DrLoop Driver may display operational or financial information where enabled.
Unless DrLoop expressly agrees otherwise in writing, DrLoop does not guarantee:
- minimum earnings;
- number of Trips;
- minimum hours;
- continuous work;
- a particular schedule;
- Provider compensation.
Compensation, payroll and similar working arrangements generally depend on the applicable relationship between the Driver and Transportation Provider.
Nothing in this section eliminates employment or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
72. Shifts and Availability
DrLoop Driver may support shift or availability information where enabled.
App functionality does not itself determine:
- employment hours;
- overtime entitlement;
- break entitlement;
- payroll;
- employment status.
Applicable Provider arrangements and law continue to govern those matters.
73. Provider Removal or Change
If your Provider relationship ends or your Provider withdraws authorization, your access to Provider-associated Driver functionality may also end.
DrLoop may restrict or remove applicable access after receiving appropriate Provider instructions or where otherwise permitted.
Ending platform access does not by itself determine any employment entitlement or dispute between you and the Provider.
74. DrLoop Account Restrictions
DrLoop may temporarily or permanently restrict DrLoop Driver access where reasonably necessary because of matters such as:
- account compromise;
- security abuse;
- serious safety concern;
- unauthorized Patient access;
- fraud;
- Driver impersonation;
- material Terms violations;
- loss of Provider authorization;
- legal requirements.
Temporary restrictions may be used while a serious matter is reviewed.
A temporary restriction is not necessarily a final determination of wrongdoing.
75. Investigations
Where DrLoop investigates a legitimate safety, privacy, fraud or security concern, DrLoop may review information reasonably relevant to that matter.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Trip records;
- statuses;
- timestamps;
- location;
- Provider information;
- Vehicle information;
- communications;
- incident reports;
- account information;
- relevant security records.
Access should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the legitimate review.
76. Opportunity to Provide Information
Where reasonably appropriate, a Driver affected by a significant DrLoop access decision may be provided an opportunity to submit relevant information or request review.
DrLoop may take immediate temporary protective action where reasonably necessary for:
- safety;
- privacy;
- fraud prevention;
- security.
DrLoop may protect confidential information belonging to Riders, Patients, Providers or other participants.
77. Community Guidelines
The DrLoop Community Guidelines apply to Driver conduct where incorporated into these Terms.
They address standards involving:
- respect;
- safety;
- privacy;
- discrimination;
- harassment;
- sexual misconduct;
- fraud;
- reporting;
- Patient dignity.
Role-specific Driver obligations may be stricter than general Community Guidelines.
78. Driver Safety & Conduct Standards
The DrLoop Driver Safety & Conduct Standards provide additional operational expectations applicable to Drivers and crew.
Those standards may be incorporated into these Terms or required as part of continued Driver access.
79. Driver Privacy
The DrLoop Driver Privacy Notice explains how DrLoop collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects Driver personal information.
This may include information relating to:
- identity;
- Provider relationship;
- Vehicle;
- Trip activity;
- location;
- communications;
- device and technical information;
- safety and security.
Acceptance of these Terms does not replace separate privacy disclosures or device permissions where applicable.
80. App Permissions
DrLoop Driver may request device permissions where required for enabled functionality.
These may include permissions such as:
- location;
- notifications;
- camera
where actually used.
DrLoop should request permissions in connection with legitimate features and provide appropriate contextual information.
See DrLoop Driver Location & App Permissions for additional information.
81. Third-Party Services
DrLoop Driver may rely on third-party services for functionality such as:
- mapping;
- routing;
- authentication;
- communications;
- cloud infrastructure;
- diagnostics.
Separate third-party terms or privacy practices may apply where appropriate.
Use of a third party does not eliminate DrLoop's responsibilities for information within DrLoop's control.
82. Intellectual Property
DrLoop Driver, including its:
- software;
- design;
- branding;
- content;
- trademarks;
- proprietary technology,
is owned by DrLoop Inc. or applicable licensors.
Subject to these Terms, DrLoop grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use DrLoop Driver for authorized operational purposes.
You may not commercially exploit or misuse DrLoop intellectual property except as authorized or permitted by law.
83. Confidential DrLoop Information
Your access to DrLoop Driver may expose you to non-public operational information.
Do not improperly disclose:
- private Provider data;
- internal operational information;
- non-public product information;
- protected DrLoop information
where you have a confidentiality obligation concerning that information.
This section does not prohibit disclosures protected by applicable law.
84. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide feedback regarding DrLoop Driver, DrLoop may use that feedback for legitimate product and operational purposes without an obligation to compensate you unless otherwise agreed.
Do not include unnecessary Patient information in general product feedback.
85. No Guarantee of Assignments
Access to DrLoop Driver does not guarantee:
- Trip assignments;
- a particular volume of Trips;
- a particular Provider relationship;
- continued Provider authorization;
- continued access to every feature.
Nothing in this section removes any right that cannot legally be waived.
86. Disclaimer
DrLoop Driver is an operational technology tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DrLoop does not warrant that every:
- ETA;
- map;
- route;
- Trip record;
- location point;
- automated result
will always be perfectly accurate or uninterrupted.
Drivers must continue to exercise appropriate professional and safe judgment.
Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
87. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DrLoop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from use of DrLoop technology where such liability may lawfully be limited.
DrLoop does not limit liability where applicable law prohibits such limitation.
Nothing in these Terms eliminates responsibility for DrLoop's own conduct where such responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
88. Your Responsibility for Misuse
You may be responsible for harm resulting from your intentional, fraudulent or unauthorized misuse of DrLoop Driver to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This section does not create liability beyond what applicable law permits.
89. No Waiver of Worker Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to:
- waive minimum employment standards;
- determine worker classification improperly;
- waive occupational health or safety rights;
- prohibit legally protected complaints;
- prevent lawful cooperation with regulators;
- prevent exercise of another non-waivable right.
Where applicable law provides greater protection, that law applies.
90. Changes to These Terms
DrLoop may update these Terms as:
- DrLoop Driver changes;
- operational processes change;
- applicable requirements change;
- safety or security needs evolve.
The current version will display its:
Effective Date
and:
Last Updated
Where a change is material, DrLoop may provide additional notice and may require renewed acceptance.
91. Electronic Acceptance
DrLoop may maintain a record of electronic acceptance of these Terms.
The acceptance record may include information such as:
- Driver or account identifier;
- document version;
- acceptance date and time;
- applicable App information.
This helps identify which version of the Terms was presented and accepted.
92. Relationship to Provider Agreements
These Terms govern your use of DrLoop Driver.
They do not replace agreements between:
- DrLoop and a Transportation Provider;
- you and a Transportation Provider;
